Beware Maxis NotifyMe Service will CHARGE automatically !!

Today I got a SMS from Maxis to my other phone. Usually i will just give a glance on it and delete them because mostly are just advertisements. However, due to previous experience, I learn my lesson to read carefully. I believe many Maxis users encounter with the previous incident on ''SPEESH" service that will auto charge RM1.50 weekly for the service if you did not request to Cancel the service after the Free trial deadline. Here goes the SMS notification from Maxis this afternoon. So it means the FREE trial has ended (28th Feb 2011). Each notification will be charged 5 cents/SMS from 1st March 2011, if you did not OFF it. >.<

what is Speesh !! charging in my phone bill !!

There are always many stupid SMS from those 5 digit number... i don't know whether is from Maxis or watsoever SCAM company!! i usually ignore / delete these SMSes without reading

but recently... this word always appear - SPEESH in those SMS.... whats that? i never bother to understand further.... until i receive my last month June MAXIS bill....

they are charging me on this stupid SPEESH in my MAXIS bill !!

so i went to look through my phone... whether did i missed out any previous SMS which was not deleted....

and found 2 of the SMS

''RM0. Your Speesh membership will be renewed in 2 days for RM1.50/week. To unsubscribe, send OFF SPEESH to 28282. For info, send INFO to 28282" received on 12-Jul-2009

"RM1.5. Your subscription to Speesh has been renewed. To unsubscribe, send OFF SPEESH to 28282" received on 14-Jul-2009

there are actually several more... but i had already deleted the moment i received... din even read =.=''

ook... so how now?? I swear i did not subscribe to any of these things before !!!! why are they charging me.... ??? i got it in my June bill..... so that means July they will still charge me...!!! RM1.50 per week somemore...!!!

shall i just send OFF SPEESH to unsubcribe?? does they charge when i unsubscribe?? but i did not subscribe before why the hack they charge me in the first place?? not the matter of money which is only RM1.50 .... but is the principle la..... ish....!!!!!! does it mean i just forget it this time and next time they charge me for RM100+ only i voice out?? =.=''

does anyone encounter this too???

what shall i do now.... ?

go to Maxis center? will they be responsible to explain this to me??

OR they are just forcing me to do MNP... change to DiGi better mann...

What the....f....!!!

i just got my July Maxis bill... i was charged for RM1.50 (July 7)+RM1.50 (July 14) on the STUPID ridiculous SPEESH thing !!!

i can use to send 60 SMS already... >.<

(luckily i ''unsubscribed it on 14th ! if not i will be throwing away my money)

Everyone is asking me how to OFF it even today... (its like after 2 years, there are still victim out there!! ridiculous Maxis)

In case you missed my comments down there. I was told by Maxis Customer Service Officer 2 years ago to follow the step from the sms :

''To unsubscribe, send OFF SPEESH to 28282"

Then Call Maxis to double check if you want to make sure its OFF.
